Dawn of Zombies update 04/04/2022

The scientists of the institute have recorded the Dark Zone Breach. The Dark Ruptures from which hordes of charred break out have appeared everywhere in the Last Territories. Help the Hawks’ command to stop the Breach; generous rewards are waiting for the volunteers.

The Dark Zone Breach

The event is available to all players who reached level 20 and repaired the Antenna in the Shelter. After talking to Holodova, go to your home location where you’ll meet the Exterminator who will acquaint you with the situation.

The appearance of the Dark Ruptures is recorded at all common locations from the Quiet Grove to the Screaming Forest. Destroy the Ruptures with any kind of weapon. But stay sharp: after the Rupture is destroyed, charred that went out of it will attack you. Each Rupture has its own vulnerability to aberrated damage; enemies who protect it have the same vulnerability. Daily you can destroy a limited number of ruptures:

• 15 times in the green and yellow locations;
• 10 times in the red locations;
• 5 times in the Screaming Forest.

Killing enemies after the Rupture is closed earns you the event points. Special enemies from the Dark Zone were also spotted in the aberrated zones: Burned Restaurant, Old Gas Station, Warehouse and Warehouse Slammer. Killing them will earn you extra Dark Zone Breach points.

Spend your points on rewards in the event window. It’s up to you to decide which path to choose: you can follow only one path or try to get the prizes from all three at once. The rewards are sequential, the next prize becomes available only after the previous one is taken.

For the full completion of the first and third paths you will receive two Helpers: Strider and Drone Operator. The Great Serpent’s Soultaker awaits for you at the end of the second path. After all the three paths are completed the final event rewards, the Crystal Tree and Breach Trophies will become available. You can open the Breach Trophies in which you’ll find perfect weapons and chests with other valuable loot, unlimited number of times.

Event rewards

Legendary weapons, chests with valuable loot, armor and craft resources for assembling the new perfect weapons D-SMG «Sygma-M» and SCAR-H «Ghost» are among the rewards you can find on the event paths.

Only during the event you’ve got an opportunity to install the Crystal Tree in your Shelter. Crystals from this Tree are used for making the D-Matter Grenades. You can find the D-Matter Shells required to activate the Tree at the trader Dealer’s on the Pier in the Burned Restaurant.

During the Dark Zone Breach event the unique Helpers become available for players again. The Drone Operator will support you in battle with the Airstrike ability: once it is activated the enemies you attack will receive the periodic fire damage. The ability is active for a half of an hour. Strider will go on forays instead of you and bring useful swag . If you already have these helpers you’ll receive Black Strider’s Backpack Mk.1 and Nuclear Torch’s Backpack Mk.1.

Search for the Drone Batteries and route maps required to activate the Helpers at the elite mobs in the red and yellow locations and in the monthly Citadel Corps and Free Striders’ Brotherhood faction missions rewards.
